Mermaid Wins Award

On Friday 22nd January The Mermaid was awarded an amazing trophy in recognition of its efforts towards waste minimisation and the recycling initiatives in place.
"The Chairman's Cup" and Premier Award are part of the City of London's Clean City Awards, presented at Mansion House, and given to one site a year following a rigorous application period and a presentation to a judging panel. Both Carol Anderson and David Goldsworthy, who were instrumental in the application and made the presentation to the final judging panel were present at the award ceremony and received the trophy on behalf of the entire Mermaid staff.
Mermaid Gains Silver Award

The Mermaid Conference and Events Centre has just been awarded the prestigious silver award by the Green Tourism Business Scheme. This is the culmination of work over the last year during which The Mermaid has actively sought to improve its environmental reputation.

Going green and some new team members

Over the last year The Mermaid has actively sought to improve its environmental reputation. With a strong policy in place we have now become a member of the Green Tourism for Business Scheme. This acclaimed organization recognises individual businesses and their efforts via assessment and awards them with “Going Green/Bronze/Silver or Gold” for their achievements.
