2010 - ‘A White Christmas'
Are you dreaming of a white Christmas for 2010?
The Mermaid is hosting another fabulous themed Christmas and for the celebrations this year we have gone white and sparkly.
Flaming torches mark the start of your wonderful night. This entrance guides you up to the fabulous reception area for pre dinner drinks. The windows with their magnificent views over the Thames are adorned with hanging lanterns and snowflakes. Christmas trees beautifully dressed with white and silver trimmings punctuate the room making this a delightfully elegant dressed party room.
Upstairs in the Blackfriars Room the festive celebration continues with snowflakes; icicles and dazzling sparkles. Here the finest food will be served adding to the great party atmosphere.

Christmas Past
In recent years, our themed Christmas parties have become the talk of the town and in 2009 we celebrated "A Traditional Christmas". 2008 saw the opulent "Christmas at The Maharajah's Palace" which was a great event that lived up to its name. Prior to that in 2007 we had the "Party at the End of the Universe" and in 2006 the 'Big Freeze' theme surrounded us. White Christmas trees, icebergs and icicle lights set the scene and led you through to a transformed River Room. Guests were welcomed with a cocktail and all admired the views of a wintry Thames through ice frosted windows.
